Normally a power of attorney will be given to an appropriate person. You wouldnt typically give YOUR passwords for these things, banks etc normally give the third party their own details to access your accounts so that in the future it can be clear exactly who it was that did a transaction etc

Power of Attorney is normally made when you are of sound mind and is for when you cn no longer deal with your affairs. you can have it drawn up with a solicitor and nominate someone for eg my brothe rand I have POA for our parents, for when the time comes they can't deal with anything and aren't classed as knowing what they are doing if they were to ask us to help with their money - it's already in place.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

You don't have to have a solicitor to draw up a Power of Attorney, you can get the forms and do it yourself.
