Hi everyone,
I have pre paid meters for both gas and electric after my partner lost his job and we ran up debts so there is no option to change back to standard meters. I'm wondering how much people use? Not including money paid out for debt (£8 per each weekly) we use £2.50 per day in electric (around £17.50 a week:eek:), gas is cheaper at around £10 per week but as it's getting colder at the minute I'm battling with myself not to put the heating on but when I do I expect it to double. Does this sound excessive? Has anyone any tips to keep usage down? We live in a small double glazed 2 bedroom bungalow which is insulated, don't have any children and I work full time and partner part time so we are not at home all day. We don't even own a tumble drier, cooker is electric and other than that its just the usual tv, washing machine, kettle etc.
Any help or advice would be great.thank you.

Although it's not how much I use, I hope this could help.
If you are with British Gas, EDF or npower, there are energy funds to help clear your feet.
If this works for you it could be £16 a week better off.
