What is this brown stuff in my empty fridge?

I bought a fridge about a year ago, I hadn't put anything in it but had it left it on for a few months with the door closed.
So this is definitely not from any food as there was no food in there

The make of the fridge is Carvin. Though they don't even have a website. I have emailed just the retailer(a company on ebay). So i'll see what they say too

+1 for rusty water.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Agree as above. It's probably an unseen dodgy bracket/screw behind that panel that has rusted. Looks like you might gain access (remove panel) to confirm if you are curious. If still under guarantee, you should have a claim (probably best not to 'satisfy' any curiosity in that case).
Good luck.0 -
I've got a problem with this?
You bought a fridge a year ago, (new or 2nd hand?). you left it switched on a while ago and it appears to have rusted something away.
I have to ask; what did you expect?, they are intended to be used constantly, not stored in unsuitable conditions and switched in when needed.
If it was grotty before you purchased it then that's another be more careful popintI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
