Am I Disabled?

When i was 8, i got the mumps. And as a side effect, i lost the hearing in my right ear.

I've had various test etc in the past but that soon stopped. I can't even use a hearing aid as there is no hearing to be aided (ear is completely deaf)

So my question - am i classed as disabled? And if so - could i apply for some sort of DLA?

Thanks

Assuming you have hearing in your other ear and you don't have any care or mobility needs, then no, you wouldn't get DLA. You might have a look at the Royal Association for Deaf people website, I found this by an internet search, I don't know if it's any good, you might find others.
