Beko cooker

Hi
I have a Beko electric cooker model BDVC664W. The area around the hob is coated with something which has become cracked and peeled off in places.
Does anybody know what this coating is made of and how I might be able to repair it?
Thanks

This model has a ceramic hob that is framed with (I assume) metal, painted white. Are you saying the white coating is flaking off?
I have a similar (but different make) of arrangement in my kitchen. Over time (cooker is 1997 vintage) the white surrounding frame so to speak is crazed/cracked and has peeled off in places; I assume the heating and cooling effect over time is the cause.
Your appliance is much younger I assume and, if still in warranty, I would be on the phone to your supplier.0 -
Anything BEKO is bargain basement, sorry, but replace with better.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Which is why landlords buy them! Mine, or at least the agent, is trying to charge me to have the affected area re-enamelled.
I'm attempting to argue that there is no enamel on there to start with and that any degradation of non heat resisiant paint used to paint a cooker hob is wear and tear not damages.0 -

Argue "not fit for purpose if it comes the that"
Never over heated or burn't a hob or cooker in my considerably long life, it appears to be garbage.;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
