Aldi Bangor parking notice issued (resolved)

Hi just thought I'd let everyone know about Bangor Aldi car park's system of you having to enter your regn number into a terminal before you shop.
We unfortunately did not see this sign (in the car park apparently) so did not enter our regn number. We stayed about three quarters of an hour to do shopping then headed back to North Yorkshire (we were taking our daughter to Bangor Uni) and had never seen this system before in an Aldi car park.
A week later a parking Notice arrived from the dreaded ParkingEye people (robots). I immediately emailed Customer Services at Aldi head office and they have been very helpful. They asked for a bank statement showing proof of purchase which luckily we had from a debit card. She then cancelled the parking Notice today.
Please therefore try to contact Aldi head office to see if they can help if you are unfortunate enough to get one of these dreaded ParkingEye parking fines, if you haven't gone over the parking time allowed they are very sympathetic and try their best to keep you as a customer, especially if you threaten never to shop there again. That said, we might shop there again but we will not risk parking in their car parks again, it's too much of a worry.

Whilst this is helpful information, it would be better on a new thread, not on this one which is specifically about process of appealing etc. We do recommend contacting landowner in first post.
