Returning to work help

Hello

I have managed to finally get a job again after about four months of searching and being on JSA.

I've had a pretty rough time financially but I managed to get my creditors to hold off so I could keep my head above water.

I had my final JSA payment at the end of September, about £52.50.

I managed to borrow £150 as well from a relative, which brought me to positive credit of about £40.

Unfortunately, my work have declined an advance and also I missed the end of month payroll as well, leaving me at -£120 overdrawn after paying two weeks of petrol and food and a few minor DD's, with my limit being £100 overdraft. Without even £1 I cannot even look at getting a payday loan to cover my bills until the end of October, as they test your card by making a transaction before agreeing it.

I called the Jobcentre but did not get anywhere apart from them telling me I now had to pay my normal bill for Council Tax (which has already bounced). The bank will not assist me either. The lady at the Jobcentre did helpfully point out (after I explained I only have enough petrol to get to work tomorrow morning) that if I lose my job I can reapply using their express service. Great, thanks for that.

I am sure I am not alone in this situation, but the financial strain of returning to work after a tiny JSA income is one I simply cannot overcome without assistance.

I do not eat lunch, as I cannot afford it, and I've not been food shopping in over a week. What am I to do? I have no family infrastructure that most people take for granted either, so other than my uncle who has already helped me, there is no one I can beg.

This is an issue I need an immediate solution for as I literally cannot get home from work tomorrow with the limited petrol I have. It's about a 14 mile journey to get there.
