Additional paternity leave question..

Hi Folks,

I`m due to go on 3 months additional paternity leave quite soon and my wife will be going back to work for the last 3 months of the 9. Anyone know what I am entitled to? I know its basically SMP for 3 months but is there anything else i.e. does the dental etc.. that my wife currently gets transfer over to me? Any advice greatly appreciated :) Thanks..

No, you won't be able to use your wife's maternity exemption certificate to get free dental treatment. One of the reasons it's given to women is because pregnancy can have a detrimental effect on teeth, which obviously doesn't apply to you as you weren't the one pregnant.

Congrats on taking APL btw. Very few men take it; my DH did and loved every second.
