Parking ticket passed to Zenith Collections?

Hi just looking for some advice.
Whilst on Asda car park earlier this year I was issued with a parking ticket by Smart Parking Ltd. I have ignored the letters as like all they are not legally entitled to do anything more than request I make the payment.
Today however I have come home from work and they have passed the charge onto a debt collection agency called Zenith Collections saying that it is their intention to collect this debt and pursue it to a legal conclusion if necessary.
What do you recommend I do? Is this just a scare tactic to get me to pay and I should just ignore it or have I somehow been targeted by a more savvy company who I will need to pay up to?

I recommend you read the newbie thread, (see my signature). Zenith are just another debt collector who send out useless letters. Read up to and including post 4!
Follow advice for a late appeal to Smart.
