Getting money back from company before it files for insolvency

Hi,

I was time- pressured and made a very dopey error ordering some furniture from a company which didn't turn up the next day ( it was supposed to), then the company told me they had no idea when it might be delivered......

Immediate refund requested and agreed to " be in your account between 3-5 days sir". 10 days later no refund and they are feeding me a pack of lies every time I call, which has been 4 today so far.

I paid by debit card:mad:. I am worried that they will go bust and we will lose money we can ill afford to lose. Is there any way I can get a claim in now, before they claim insolvency, to ensure we don't lose the money?

P.S. My worries stem from the fact that I have now had time to look at reviews and we are one of many who have not had their money back. There have also been a lot of changes at Directoe level and a previous application to be struck off was suspended.

Help please!!!!!!!!

If they don't provide the refund, consider a Chargeback.

MSE has written a good article on it:
You have no need to worry, but it might be a good idea to get something in writing about the refund. Maybe send them an email asking when you can expect the refund?

You can put in an appeal/complaint/objection to companies house to prevent the liquidation/winding up/strike off of a company if you are a creditor.
