Finding an architect to plan an extension

What is the best way to find an architect to plan an extension (to a house)?
I have got a list of architects in the area (Norwich) but looking on their websites they all seem to focus on big projects (even though some say they do house extensions / remodelling).
I am not yet resident in the area so don't have any local knowledge or contacts?
Ideas?
TIA

Age old issue, the punter, ie you thinks he needs an architect, but why.
\You say a simple extension? No AT needed.
What or who you need is a local plan drawer or consultant that will likely be ex local authority planning or similar.
Simple extensions are bread and butter to these guys, they will provide plans that pass LA building regs and will deal directly with the LA if you wish them tooI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
