Closeboard Fencing and Gate

Hi all, I'm new to the forums (long-time reader but first-time poster) but was wondering if anyone could help with assessing this quote?

I've been quoted £846 (subsequently negotiated down to £800) for:

- Approx 4m of 6ft high closeboard fencing (individual boards, not panels), including gravel boards, new posts and post-crete
- 30 inch wide by 6ft high gate and all fittings
- Removal and disposal of old fence same size

I've called 6 local companies (Worthing, West Sussex), only two bothered to respond and come out to measure, and only 1 sent a quote in the end! So I have nothing to compare this quote too, and although they are well regarded locally, it seems a little high to me?

Have you tried RJ Meaker AND also GJ Meaker (they are related but have separate companies).

GJ Meaker gave me the best price and I can't fault the work. Yours sounds a little bit high for the relatively small amount of fence?

12 (about 60foot worth of fencing) close board panels, concrete gravel boards, concrete posts, removal of all old fencing and fitting new - £1150.00

4m wide custom made close board driveway gates, 7" post and 5" wall plate, header rail, all fixings/latch/hinges, brenton bolt and yale style bolt lock including fitting - £900.00
