International Furniture & Cupboard Paint
can someone advise me what Maliamine Primer i can use on kitchen cupboards.
i bought the above from here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/International-Furniture-Cupboard-Paint-Muted-Mocha-3L-/151362166785?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Paint_Varnish_MJ&clk_rvr_id=708924251025
when reading up online it got good reviews and no one mentioned using a primer, but on receiving the paint it says to use a primer
can anyone tell me what brand they have used in the past?
as they no longer do the International maliamine primer as its discontinued
thank you in advance

I refurbished some tired fitted wardrobes (melamine finish) with something similar. I washed the surfaces to be painted with sugar soap, rinsed then rubbed down with wet and dry paper to provide a key. After cleaning again (changed the water regularly) I then applied the paint to that using a small short pile roller. Looks great. In my case, I had a good key and the paint finish is still rock solid (no primer used).0

I'd just use Annie Sloan chalk paint and then wax it to protect it..... works fine with Melamine!0
