Hi all, I need a double ladder to reach around 19-20 feet, now I hope this don't sound daft but what size ladder / rungs do I need. Taking into account the rake it must be for safety and on how much of it should form the double part?

I've got one of these which is very helpful when you're working up by the gutter or painting the window frames

I would second the recommendation of a stand-off bracket. Mine came from Wickes, but looks identical to the Screwfix one. It makes the ladder more stable, and moves you out from the wall, so you're not tempted to lean backwards when working. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
