cleaning grouting between floor tiles

Hello, I know there are several products on the market for cleaning grouting but wondered which ones people have found the most effective? I have just moved into a house with lovely floor tiles but grouting is dirty. I realise that some of it may be deep staining that I wont be able to remove but would like to have a go. Have done a bit with a magic eraser but the erasers fall apart quite easily and not cheap. Thanks.
Otherwise, I suppose the alternative is professional regrouting. But our kitchen/dining space is enormous and its likely to be very expensive I think!

I use HG grout cleaner. It is very good but not magic, you have to put in a lot of work scrubbing the grout to get it clean, but it comes up really nice.

We had the same problem in our house when we moved in, grout was supposed to be white but was black with (based on the rest of the house) 12 years of dirt ingrained.

We used a karcher steam cleaner and they came up like new in the bathroom and kitchen. Can you borrow/hire one?

yes could possibly hire one is that what you did - its not the same as a steam mop is it? Wondered if it would work though as I notice that the grout is indented not level with the floor tiles quite.

Another vote for the steam cleaner, I was amazed at how much dirt it got out of the grout, they are available for sub £50 these days

I just did this and our bathroom looks so much brighter!

I used glass fibre scourers, meant for removing rust and staining on metal. You can get them for a pound or less each from AliExpress, I've not seen them for sale in the UK. You have to wear gloves (glass fibres are vicious) but they're pretty eco-friendly and grind down to fine sand. They're much less harsh than wire brushes, so didn't damage the tiles
