Refund from Sports Direct

I purchased a pair of running shoes at SD
yesterday and when I got home, I looked online at the SD website and the exact same trainers were £18 cheaper than I had paid in store.
Sports Direct don't do refunds - only exchange. The trainers are for for purpose, they aren't faulty so don't effect my statutory rights. Does this mean I definitely can't get a refund? It just seems so wrong!

The online outlets of companies often have cheaper prices than high street stores. It's not just SD that do this.
The online places have far fewer staff to pay, no high street rental charges, car parks, insurance cover for customers, large electricity bills etc, things that all impact on the price charged for goods.
There is certainly no harm in asking nicely for a refund as you might just get lucky if you ask politely.0 -
You are correct, you are not entitled to a refund. SD are also perfectly entitled to charge different prices online than they do in stores.
Puzzled why you'd look at the trainers online after you made the purchase though, the time to do that was before the purchase!0
