Worcester 28cdi Boiler

The dial which controls the heating on the front of my boiler has completely broken off, and cannot seemingly be put back on.
It looks like it was almost part of the original unit. If I get a new one from the manufactuers', will a competent heating engineer be able to put it on for me, or am I now stuck with a boiler with no heating control ?

It's probably just snapped and part of it is left inside. If you get something like a small Allen key and poke the bit inside should pop out. You could then just fit the new one instead or if there's a hot water one take that out and try it.0

Is it just the heating temperature control?
Check this other thread from MSE - is it the middle dial?

If its just the dial that has broke when set at a particular temp then I guess the heating will still work.0 -

Yes, it is the middle dial as shown in the photo on that thread.
Unfortunately, it broke off when set at the minimum heating/summertime position, so no heating until I get it sorted.0 -

I'd Definately pop the HW one out then or use a small flat blade screwdriver to turn it up if you need the heating.0 -

If you only want to pay for one!
Looks like it will just push on, so you should be able to fit it yourself0
