Hi, I got a windscreen tkt today in a retail park. I has to pull up somewhere quickly to breastfeed my 8 wk old baby and saw the retail park so figured there must be somewhere I could feed her inside. I saw a matalan and thought I could feed in the changing room (was not going to sit in a toilet with a newborn). Anyway there was only around 10 parking spaces outside which were all full until someone pulled out of 1 of 2 of the disabled spots so I stupidly parked and rushed in to feed this screaming baby.
As you can guess, upon my return I had a tkt. Now I know some may say I deserved it but if anyone has any experience of trying to establish breast feeding and how much these babies get once they need a feed then you might understand why I did not just wait. I also do not live in the area I was in, I was merely on my way to visit my family to make funeral arrangements for my nan. Well, if any one does have advice I would greatly appreciate it, even if the advice is to just pay the bloody thing!

Thank you for your time
Feeling sorry and stupid!:(

dont beat yourself up, yes it was wrong but too late now
I assume you have not read the NEWBIES sticky thread ?
if not please read it, near the top of the forum
also decide if this is england or wales (or not , this is important)
if its E+W it needs appealing , so depends who it is as to what course you follow0 -
Ooops no I haven't read it yet. It was in England.
Will have a read now. Thank you for replying though0 -
wait for NTK and then appeal it as per the flow chart and posts #1 and #3 of that Newbies thread (in 29 to 56 days) - as long as its not a hire car/lease car/company car0

Ziggy, as a breastfeeding mother you are covered by the Equality act 2010 as you have "protected characteristics.)
When you send in your appeal, add this as an additional point.
Unless you were driving a hire or lease car, you wait for the NTK to arrive. This gives you lots of time to read the Newbies thread as already mentioned by Redx. Post up your initial appeal here with personal/vehicle details redacted before you submit it. The regulars will then advise you whether you need to amend anything.
Note, your first appeal will be rejected but this forum has a 100% record of winning at the next stage.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
