Sending to another address

Had a message from a buyer on ebay who wants my BIN item but is asking if I will send it to another address as a gift and also put gift Card inside.
I don't have any gift cards and the item is ready packaged up, too well to undo really.
What are the risks of sending to another address?

Depends - were you planning on sending it tracked?0

Paypal will require you to send to the buyers address if you want to be covered by their seller protection

By gift card do they mean ones with money on- or just a card?
If just a card and item is cheap and going untracked I am usually OK about sending it, although I am aware that I lose paypal protection. I actually sell a few things that attract this request, and even gift wrap on occasions so that the items can be sent as gifts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The buyer can update paypal with a 'send to' address and you are still protected for posting there. If it is all wrapped up and worth the hassle you could tape an envelope with a greetings message to the outside. Or add it to the address label. I did a DIY version of this and have one address on my paypal which reads J Bloggs, Happy Birthday from Theoretica, 76a High Street...But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Ask your buyer to add the gift address using this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/Adding-a-gift-or-second-address-to-Paypal-/10000000012192271/g.html0
