Netflix - Is a subscription worth it?

I am thinking about buying a Netflix subscription. Is it worth is?
It appears to be either £5.99 or £6.99 per month which seems very cheap to me. I form this opinion based on the fact that borrowing two Blockbuster DVDs for three nights costed this (when Blockbuster was around).
I understand that Netflix has fewer costs e.g. staff costs, DVD costs etc, but I just wanted to make sure that I have got my facts right. Is this all it costs for unlimited usage?
Is the choice as good as Blockbuster use to be? For example, I see that Homeland season 3 will be available on Netflix from Tuesday, but it has been available on DVD for some time.

I LOVE my Netflix subscription, and would probably pay double the amount (shh don't tell Netflix that!)
There is always something to watch on it. I am currently enjoying 'The Good Wife', but have also watched 'Breaking Bad', 'House of Cards', '24', 'Dexter', and many others.
It is really good quality and for the price it just cannot be beaten. I especially love that I can watch it on my Smart TV, and then pick up where I left on my laptop.
When I see the cost of the DVD box sets I wonder why they are still produced when Netflix has the whole series for £5.99 a month!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
Absolutely, you can't get a better experience for £6.
It's first month free so what's to lose?0 -
i also think its great value for money, my daughter uses it loads .0

My family loves Netflix but we use it with an unblock-us subscription to get the USA and Canadian sites as so much more choice than the UK site and better newer films etc (signed up to the USA site instead of UK and use entropay virtual card to pay Netflix). Our package allows us to watch it on 3 different appliances which is great for our teens. They log in on an ipad, kindle fire or android phone and use it to view films when at friends houses. It is used with Apple Tv box as our living room is not a smart tv and it is really good quality. We cancelled Sky Tv over a year ago as we were watching Netflix more.0

I really like Netflix too, for TV series, rather than films, I think it's excellent value. I've also got a subscription to Amazon Prime and I think that Netflix has a much better and more up to date choice (of what I want to watch, anyway), although I did enjoy the Vikings on Amazon.0

Yes thats all it costs, you can watch as much as you want for the monthly fee, whether its 1 film a month or 1 a day.
I signed up to finish watching Breaking Bad and Prison Break as I didnt finish them when they were on many years ago. Its all dependant on what you like, good thing is its not a contract so you can cancel when you want.
For me I find its quite good for the TV series on there, I've also got amazon instant but you need to be a prime member to watch some of the content on there.0 -
I am also wanting to watch series rather than films e.g. Prison Break, Homeland etc.0

I've been watching tv series- all of The Good Wife, and Silk so far. I'm on Virgin Media and do find the navigation a bit offputting though.0
