    Afternoon all,

welcome Inkie, lovely to have you join us. Looking forward to reading your posts.

TTFTM. Sorry to hear about last night, I hope today is better.

Went out this morning to get the last of the bits and pieces done that we normally do on a weekend. Hubby has put himself to sleep. With any luck he'll be asleep another 6 hours. He was in a right foul mood last night so I just left him to it. He's got a mole I want the doctor to look at. "I will make you an appointment next week" I told him. "As long as its after 7pm" he said. He knows damned well the surgery isn't open that late. Sod it, I'm his wife not his Mother!

My daughter in SA had an adoption shower for Soldier yesterday and he had a wonderful time I'm assured. Wish I could have been there.

Heating has gone on today, I couldn't stand the cold any longer and I'm allergic to the cold.:rotfl:

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Hello friends,

Everyone is out at the moment so just having some quiet time to myself-I deserve it :D We put the heating on for a little while as DS2 said DGD was cold to the touch, and she's full of a cough and cold too. Can't have my little cherub feeling cold-having said that she didnt want her coat on to go to the park, and always takes her shoes and socks off after 5 mins in the house. She's gone back home now and is going away tomorrow for 5 days,we'll miss her and her chatter.
DH has gone to the renovation house for a few hours,he just has to put some new guttering up at the front and then all the scaffold can come down, the new roof is finished :T
Roast dinner later with all the trimmings, and apple crumble for after. Not hm-DH put it in the trolley and I didnt see it until we got to the checkout ,I've got a few bags of sliced apples in the freezer so I could have made one in moments, especially as my food processor is out from another task.I was tired last night though when we were doing a quick bit of shopping so he was obviously thinking of me,either that or he doesn't like my crumble :rotfl:
Nothing else to report so hope you are all ok and enjoy your Sunday x

    Evening everyone :)

After walking around all day with my dressing gown on top of my clothes, I have finally admitted defeat and put the heating on!

I was helping DD earlier with her art homework earlier when she just suddenly fled up to her room. I followed to see what was up and she was in floods of tears leaning against the door so I couldn't get in. No amount of cooing and soothing would get her to let me in or tell me what was wrong, so I have no idea what brought it on. I'm leaving her to it now.

I'm having a sarnie for dinner as I'm not very hungry, HM burgers for DH, and hotdogs for kiddes.

Hi to all new faces, commiserations to all having disappointments, and hugs to poorlies and those in need xx

My planned quiet day didn't pan out - carpenter came back to do the finishing touches to the cupboards so I retreated upstairs. Had to do stuff with my laptop clearing out assorted portable hard drives and getting stuff onto just one plus the back up = so two hard drives.

Did more winding up of wool skeins using the kitchen chair, found it rather soothing. Found that commercial skeins are badly formed and the one from my local spinning/dyeing place was easy to wind. Now got the needles out and in use. Just going to make a couple of moss stitch scarves as I've got a load of bamboo/merino blend wool in lovely jewel colours.

Got the woodburner on, it doesn't half through out heat, we're both sitting as far away from the stove as we can and still had to open the hall door.

Sad to read some other's posts and see they are going through difficult times. My good vibes go to you all.

Tomorrow I have a telephone interview for casual adult ed work which I really want to do. Part of the plan to reduce my working hours more and looking towards the end of my work in March.

Off to get the wine ready for Strictly results show.
  • TTFM, I hope things improve for you.
We went out for a meal with the outlaws, I woke up this morning with a twitch in my eye, just thinking about the meal & it was as bad as I expected, incredibly expensive & BIL's GF talked total ballrocks throughout the meal, she claims to be a professional gambler, heaven knows what she really does, I was glad to get home for some peace & quiet.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Managed to find a minute to post. I had an early start as went with DD and DS to local car boot sale. Very pleased only spent £4 and got DS a t shirt with one of his favourite tv shows character on, got DD a lovely pair of leather shoes, unworn owner said she hadnt really like them but bought because they were in the sale!! got myself a very nice jumper by one of the Duchess of Cambridges favourite stores which I will wear to work. Quick dinner (slow cooked brisket) before DD had to get train back to uni. It was nice having her home for a couple of days. Made a very nice loaf of bread using flour that was on offer in @ldi, enough left over for packed lunches tomorrow. DW is now on, kitchen cleaned and lawn raked. Think an early night is in order. Thoughts to all.
