Hi - I have astigmatism in both eyes and use monthly disposable toric lenses in both eyes. Likewise I got a letter from Specsavers reducing the price to £15 a month - this is the 2nd decrease in 4 years as when I started they were £22 a month. You are also entitled to half price specs with this scheme.

I got my letter this morning from Specsavers, my daily disposables are going down to £22 a month, but that includes all check-ups. Work pay for my Eye Tests.

I got similair letter but my Monthy disposables are reduced from 12.50 to 10.00 a month. Bit of luck as I was thinking of changing opticians as not too happy with my local branch of specsavers, saying that before we moved house specsavers in a different town was excellant. Think Ill try a different branch.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

    Well figure this one out.

Both my hubby and I have the same type of lenses from Specsavers, sent with solutions, on a 3 month basis. The only difference is that he is with a branch nearer his office and me home.

Now he, for a while, has paid £2 less than me and this is a real bug bear so I phoned Specsavers and queried this. I was told that the difference is that hubby shouldn't be receiving free after treatment - his 6 monthly check should be costing him £15 and he shouldn't be getting solutions.

Now we never use all the solutions we get in a 3 month period so I'm wondering what the best course of action is.

I'm half tempted to cancel my dd with sepcsavers and get them on line (from specsavers at 1/2 the price!) for next month. I realise that the cleaning pots may be an issue but is there any web sites that sell them without the need to buy the solutions as well?

BTW hubby had his letter saying he was only going to pay £8 whilst my letter said it was decreasing to £10!

Not sure who said they were going to change branches of specsavers but they will need to be careful - when I did this they threatened to charge me £25 as specsavers are not a chain - they're a franchaise.
