Cheaper Disposable Lenses at Specsavers!

Options
I use monthly disposable contact lenses & I've started buying them from Specsavers on direct debit every month.

I was quite impressed with their price anyway compared to my old optician but I have just received a letter today from them telling me that their price is going down to £21.00 per month!!

Don't get many letters like that these days!

I haven't checked but I guess this price is available to new & exisiting customers.

How many lenses is this for 20pairs or 30pairs? If this deal you mention is for 30 pairs then that would be the best deal I know as I assume it includes aftercare if it is a direct debit scheme?

    For info:
Specsaversdirect.com offer 90 pairs for £59.88 which works out at £20/month. You can also get £2.50 cashback at sites such as greasypalm and rpoints.

    It's for 30 pairs.

I think I used to pay around £25.00 per month, but not sure off the top of my head.

I've had a letter like that today - monthlys going down a couple of quid to £12.50. Little difference from the specsavers online price now (adjusting for solutions and checkup)

My son has monthly disposables and I just got the letter telling me the cost had gone down from £17.99 to £15.99 a month which is great.

I get my monthly lenses from a local optician for £20.50 a month by DD,i have to have a Toric lense for my right eye as i have an astigmatism. The price includes all solutions and cases, Free eye tests and replacement lense's. I don't think i will get cheaper elsewhere as toric lenses are more expensive, but i might dig out my prescription and compare prices online later :)

I don't know what my son has except for the fact that he has astigmatism in both eyes and is borderline for being able to wear contacts at all. The £15 a month will include one pair a month plus all chemicals delivered on a 3 monthly basis.

Older son has also started wearing contacts but he can only wear yearly gas permeables . He's struggling at the moment but he can get on with them they are going to be £120 a year for the one pair inclusive of all the cleaners and things. Trouble is as well as poor eyesight and severe astigmatism he also has odd shaped eyes.

Neither son wears standard lenses, in each case we had to wait for a specialist company to supply Specsavers, it took about three weeks to get the lenses.

As they are both children and have very odd prescriptions I won't chance shopping around for a better deal which is why a slight reduction in the monthly cost from SPecsavers was so welcome.

Bargain bunny - is this for 1 pair a month disposables? that's what I have and the £12.50 includes solutions, lens checkup, containers etc. I have a toric lens for the right eye and regular lens for the left. Just have to pay for the eyetest and that was £8.00 last time.
