Advice on fixing some poor plastering work.

Could anyone advise on how best to fix some poor plastering we've just had done please.
Basically we had our living room re-plastered, most of the walls were hardwalled. Unfortunately the plasterer we had recommended to us was not quite up to our standard and so now we want to try and fix the messy bits he's left behind.
There are quite a few small holes and mostly rough patches along where corners meet. Any advice would be great, thanks.

I am not surprised that you are disappointed , that is a shoddy job he's done.
I would use one of the fine surface fillers and this, when spread not too thickly, over the rough parts can be sanded down initially with 180 grit and finished with 400 grit sandpaper to give an almost invisible repair.
In the bottom right corner of the window it looks like the stop bead is too short. If so , that will be a weak(ish) point - but you can make up the area by filling and sanding .
The corners can be improved with careful use of a sanding block.Forgotten but not gone.0 -

He can't. He says no one has ever complained about his work before. To be honest we just wanted to get him gone, so told him we'd pay him half what he quoted and leave it at that. Now we just want to try and get it looking as good as we can. Will be filling and sanding for a while now I think.

Who was his previous client? Stevie Wonder?0 -
That looks very amateurish and it looks like he is new to plastering. He won't get much work if anyone sees that.
Absolutely bloody awful!0 -

He's been doing it for a good ten years! We just had some friends say he was alright, not the best but alright, so we took a chance. We've had cracks appear in most of the joins today too.
