Best type of electric heater?

In my experience I dislike fan heaters unless they are in a small space regardless of wattage unless thats purely about efficency of the element or the way the fan spreads the heat.
I really like bar heaters to the point where one on low feels more toasty and comfortable than a fan heater on high, the only times I have a problem with them is when I may feel a bit too hot and open a window the warm feeling in terms of feeling toasty goes too fast and you feel a "breeze" even when the window is then closed where fan heaters have the opposite problem i.e the heat feel drier and you often feel too hot even with window opened for ages after.
I have no real experience with a oil filled one apart from years ago when I was looking after a relatives flat and had no gas left so ran it in living room and felt too cold with it on but that may of been due to the other rooms having zero heating.
Is it better to get a oil filled one or a bar heater? both are far more expensive than fan heaters but may be worth it in long run if the heating is better and the heaters more efficent.
Also to mention my current bar heater has lasted over 4 years, it was second hand then, yet I have gone through about 5 fan heaters as the plugs seem to get too hot and burn out the fuse and some the plug itself has melted a little.

My experience is bar heaters have a short working life. In construction site cabins it is common for them to have burnt out. This is not as prevalent as it was as many now have timers attached to them. In contrast the oil filled heaters in site cabins seem to last forever. Further these are designed and made to be left on continually - they are used in what are known as "drying rooms". Equally many drying rooms are heated by fan heaters - which also are often burnt out.
So, IMHO, oil filled radiators appear more robust, and more capable of being left on for long periods - often months on end - without failing.
I suggest many oil filled radiators are of dubious quality - the only ones I have been happy to purchase are either Stax - because they can be really cheap and come with a 3 year guarantee - or De Longhi, which are much dearer - I have a couple for use at home and they are a quality item.0 -
Efficiency is the same for heaters of the same wattage.0
