Barclaycard PPI - Offer Made But Help Needed

Hi Y'all,
After approx 18 months of fighting Barclaycard (and with help from those lovely folk at the Financial Ombudsman) the case has finally been resolved in my favour....which is great. BUT, for a PPI policy that I had running for 12 years the amount offered seems low at £360.98 after tax. The majority of this is compensation and interest too!
Anyhoo, the reason given for this is that my PPI policy ran from 1991 - 2003 and Barclaycard say that they only have records from 2001 - 2003 and they have had to guesstimate my premiums. I have a three page letter explaining it all with a breakdown of sums and it seems to imply that the Ombudsman have approved this payout but it does seem rather low? Having received £700+ from Santander for Mortgage PPI that I had for less than a year I assumed the Barclaycard offer would be considerably more.
Question is; Is it worth pressing for more or should I accept the cheque and move on?

Unless you have comprehensive documentary proof from your own archive of payments prior to the period the Bank has records for, I can't see how you can "press for more".0

I suspected as much but I wanted to double check before cashing the cheque. Hey ho, it's better than a poke in the eye

that sum seams a little low to me , I have recently been awarded £1453 for a Barclaycard ppi plan set up in 1996 ,only had a policy number they said they could not trace any payments so the payment was based on a average of what they think it might be.0

It's unwise to compare individual refunds. Even an "average" redress payment is based on information the bank have about payments to the individual account. Clearly, you were paying more than the OP was for periods the Bank still has records for.that sum seams a little low to me , I have recently been awarded £1453 for a Barclaycard ppi plan set up in 19960
