Help needed please. If I try to view my website I get site unavailable. I get the same message if I try to go into the control panel at my web host. The host site itself is fine. My outlook express says my site is unavailable as well when trying to receive messages.
I've emailed my friends and they can get into my site and apparently it is up and running.
I've tried other computers in the house and they get the same message as mine (so its not the computer).
Has anyone any clues why I am the only one who can't access my site?
All help much appreciated.

I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.

Perhaps you need to empty you temp internet files....could be they are loading some old files still!

Thanks for the reply.
I've done a complete wash already so everything is empty
The only connection I can think of as well between my OH's computer (which can't read the site either) and mine is the ISP. We can both obviously access other sites such as this one - just not mineI live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
Have you asked your friends to "refresh" the browser when looking at it to make sure that it's not been cached from the last time they looked at it?0

Yes. They can both see it after refreshing, shutting down and starting again, and both in IE and Firefox.I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0

Hi
Post your website addy so we can try it. PM it if you prefer0 -
Where is the site hosted?
if it is within your network and you have the domain/address forwarded to your ip address and port forwarded it will work perfectly for everyone outside but you cant forward back to yourself.
when you enter the address it hits the DNServer and bouces right back at you.
You either need to configure your local dns server to look at its self for yor address or use the hosts file to look at the ip address of the server if you browse to the website.
so make a similar entry
192.168.1.1 if thats the ip address of your server
then a gap and the domain name
192.168.1.1 mywebsite.com0 -
Many thanks for the offer Pat. I have had it confirmed that the site itself is fine.
Many thanks for your reply John. I think you hit the nail on the head. I emailed my web host and they are checking to see if my ISP address has been blocked by their firewall.I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
Problem sorted. :T Apparently repeated password failures which I didn't even notice meant their firewall had blocked me. I think it was the FTP program I was trialing.I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0
