14 month time frame for payout, does it have some significance in consumer law?

Just returned from a meeting with Sell my Timeshare. They are offering to take on the maintenance of a property in Malta owned by my parents while they sell it. The arrangement is that several thousand is paid up front, in exchange they give you credits which can be used against holidays, air travel, excursions to reduce the cost on monster.travel.
14 months from now they will pay out the thousands paid up front plus a figure agreed for the purchase of the time share.
The deal been that the settlement is either as a cash payment or ploughed back into credits for further travel and holidays.
Is 14 months significant for some legal, consumer time frame?
