Dodgy Claims Management Company

I stupidly paid £300 in 2013 to a company called Total Financial Solutions in Swansea after being cold called. They promised to pursue my claim for PPI and being missold my mortgage assuring that I would get a complete refund if my claims were unsuccessful.
After over a year they have done nothing and I am starting to realise that I have been scammed and it appears that there is nothing I can do !! They never answered the phone and when they did the individual I spoke to always made excuses.
The phones are now cut off although I believe that they have simply set up shop again using the identity of another legitimate Company trading from the same address.
I am not the only person to have been a victim of this mode of theft so how does the law allow this to happen:mad:
How can I get my money back ??

You should report your experience to the Claims Regulator at consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk and to ActionFraud.
If you paid by credit, rather than debit, card, you can ask the credit card provider to reimburse you under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.0 -
Yes that is the name of the individual I spoke to on the phone.I have already reported the matter to Action Fraud and will do so to the Ministry of Justice. At the end of the day will he get away with daylight robbery and set up another company doing the same thing to others??
Unfortunately I paid by debit card and he lied to me saying I could raise a dispute with my bank which he would not query.I can't believe how this individual can get away with this.Is there no way I can get my money back ?0 -

It MIGHT still be worth asking for a chargeback but I would not hold out much hope.0

I will try small claims court then, this crook can't get away with this !!0

That could be throwing good money after bad.
Complain to the regulator.0 -
I have written to the Regulator re. Mr. Jones and as per the advice given have written by recorded delivery to Mr.Jones who replied with an unsatisfactory reply claiming to have already refunded my fee via his "virtual" terminal Allied Wallet? I have written back to him by recorded delivery to confirm that I have received nothing. This individual tells so many porkies he obviously believes them !! He has a further 28 days to
reply then Regulator will become involved .0
