greenbee ... when I first came to this house , the dryer was atop the washer .. to stop it "wobbling" I put 2 kitchen spong/scourer thingies each under the front legs [make sure legs are screwed down to shortest]seem to work but have since changed format in there with new machines all in one row now...

Thanks Alfie! Interestingly the WM doesn't seem to move or cause the dryer to move - the dryer seems to move more (although no sign of the feet moving, just some vibrations/wobble at the top) probably because it's about 10kg lighter and currently full of wet towels...

I've just finished the first proper load of washing, so fingers crossed it has done a good job!

Have you tried using a tooth repair kit Dave?
    I didn't know they existed. :o

It's OK, I'm fairly sure this tooth can't be re-filled, as I have prior experience with the one on the other side, but that's given me no bother in the past 4 years or so. I just need the rough edge ground off! :(

River levels dropped during the night. Too late for Pete, but he only had the smaller one outside its banks, I think. That one goes up and down like ....err....a..... yo-yo! :D

Bloody daft. Gives those genuinely interested in the welfare of farm animals a bad image.

Change.org was a good idea when it started, but it's now a bandwagon, sometimes used abusively to target individuals, so I no longer allow it into my inbox. :p

The panto has run into flu problems! With recovery taking at least 3 weeks, more people may need to be drafted-in/coerced/blackmailed to join our thespian throng. One village stalwart has stepped in, as he's done before, but as we started 5 persons down this year, it's getting tricky.....:(

Meanwhile, here at the ranch we had another night and morning of blustery torrential rain, making the sogginess even soggier. It seemed like a good time to go out and take photos of our virgin patch, due to become garden in 2018, mainly because anything must be an improvement on this......

    good evening peeps

well what sodden weather we've had !!
the forest is like a big lake and our fields are just slush with a foot of soft ground underneath [I found the leak in my boots !]
given horses 2 fields now to try and eek out the mud created.
tilly/sheep/nelly are still in the corall area which has the mesh floor so NO MUD ....yay [thoroughly recommend ,albeit the cost, as it just makes for a mud free area that is jet washable..can be grass covered in the summer ]
still no sign of baby but we have a name .... KINGSTON .. the sires name is the Jamaican so we wanted something to tie in. friends 7yr old granddaughter sat with an atlas and wrote [crayon] on a big bit of paper a list of names , bless her. so she is delighted .
as we have no date of when IT happened we are whistling in the wind as to WHEN !!

got someone coming to see sons ex car tomorrow . its an old X reg VW golf and must admit ,he cleaned it and it looks great ! I think the fact hes never had a doggy/horsey item in there helped. only going for a few hundred quid so someone will get a bargain ...

there was some guys out shooting in the field next door this morning [normally just the beaters and the shoot 2 fields along] they WERE beating but seemed to be hap hazzardly shooting as well..?? also were shooting IN the wood which is not usual... bit dangerous !!
anyway, not my fault id fed all MY pheasants earlier and half the population were in my garden ........

Kingston is a classy name, I think. :TMuch better than some of the Jamaican alternatives......Maggotty, for example:rotfl: ( I kid you not!)

I'm unwell again.:( Don't think the bug ever went away completely, but at least I'm not suffering the exhaustion from earlier in the month. Rehearsals last night were horrible, but I got through the 21/2 hours with paracetamol and whisky....mainly the latter.:o

DD2 phoned us this afternoon from China, where she's a bridesmaid on Monday. This is quite a turn-around for the young lady who said not long ago that she'd never get
    on a plane! :rotfl:

That one never ceases to amaze me. Having been offered a massive pay rise to stay in retail management for another year, she resigned.:undecided She'd been asking for years to go into their design and marketing dept and it wasn't happening. So, when she returns, she'll be entering a younger, trendier company on the design side, but it'll mean starting on the ground floor again.

    Total sog-out here too, alfie.:(

    Kingston is very classy Alfie.

Dave - sorry to hear the bug has bitten again - hope it goes for good soon.

DD2 is doing the right thing is sticking to what she wants to be doing -
    good for her.

Boggy here too after all the snow melt & torrential rain. We have fierce winds here tonight - all day it's raged really wild.

Could hardly see this morning on the beach as the sand was blowing in your face. Picked up some drift wood from the storm so that was a plus. I love cheap stuff but free is better.
