Still not received my driving licence

I hope this is posted in the right place.

I lost my provisional licence and sent off for a replacement so I can start my lessons.

They were quick to complete it and send me my new one, only they didn't send me a new provisional licence they sent me a full uk driving licence. It also had an incorrect first name on it but all the other details were correct.

It has been over 2 months since I sent it back and after 3 phone calls chasing it up I have still not received it back. They keep saying they have received it and are looking into it.

I understand they have to do checks as in the wrong hands that licence could have been used falsely but this is their fault not mine and I have paid for it!

I am absolutely appalled at them.

It also makes me wonder how many other incorrect licences have been issued that are now in circulation being used by people who can't drive.

Can anyone give me any advice please on what the best thing for me to do next is as I am getting beyond impatient when I haven't done anything wrong?

Which website did you use.

I phoned the DVLA on 0300 790 6801. I did it manually not via a website.

If they've given you a full licence, don't bother with the rest of your lessons - I think you've won here

Hahaha. That's the worrying thing though, if they've done it to me then how many other people have they done it to that haven't bothered sending it back? Scary.

I'm going to call them again tomorrow and ask to speak to someone higher up. Is there any action I can threaten them with as I don't want to hear the same rubbish that they are looking into it as it's more complicated or that I am now a priority as it's over 2 months since they received it.
