Virgin check in at Gatwick?

If i don't check in online (it doesn't always work with Virgin in my experience) for a flight ex Gatwick to Florida does anyone know how early I can use (a) Twilight check in or (b) Kiosk check in?
I recall you used to be able to check in from midday day before flight but Virgin website says Twilight check in opens at 17:00. Does kiosk check in open three hours prior to flight or is it like online, opening 24 hours before flight?

I don't know the time, but check that it's actually operating now. When we flew at the end of July it had been suspended because of the raised security, it was at the time they announced the switching on of electrical devices. It may have settled back down now, but worth giving them a call, save you schlepping your cases to the terminal for nothing.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Thanks for that. I agree re getting there only to have to 'enjoy' sitting round Gatwick for six hours waiting for the desk to open! I asked only because we had a disastrous experience some years back with then, found our 'allocated seats' (yes, I know, they're not guaranteed) had been given away and we were then plonked exactly where we didn't want to be. Their web site is a big vague re the kiosk, tells you when it closes but not when it opens. I'll try calling them.0
