Co-op credit card limit cut without warning

Manningtreelove - Take a look at the thread I started a couple of Months ago. Some very fine rants by me, and a lot of very useful information from both sides of the argument. You may notice that whilst I accept that they may need to reduce risk, I am not a fan of the Banks tactics, as there are better (But less profitable) ways to achieve this. I hope that where it has caused a problem (As with you, or OP having card declined), the complaint is pursued, if necessary all the way to the FO.0

OMG I guess I will shortly be hearing from them as well then. I have £12,500 unused credit limit and rarely use the card but have always liked this credit limit so have kept the card. I was carrying a large balance on it until very recently. I've had it for about 15 years with no probs re missed payments or anything negative etc. I have just done an entire transfer balance to M&S More card. I still think one of the main reasons these limits are being reduced are because the accounts are being handled too well and they aren't making much money from them, so it is costing them more to maintain them.
I have never liked the Co-Op. I have always found them to be very dictatorial and inflexible.0
