Its likely that the company I work for will go bust.
Presuming in that case I will receive redundancy payments from the National Insurance Fund.
What happens if I find a new job within a few days ?
Do I still get redundancy money?
regards

My son was made redundant and managed to get a new job within a few days. Because both his jobs were part-time, he was able to start the new one without giving notice on his old one, and do them both until his old job came to an end. He got his redundancy money.
This may be more difficult to do with a full-time job, but maybe it could be done by taking leave from the old one? Don't know if that would be possible.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Statutory redundancy isn't very much. If you have an alternative job to go to, I'd take it rather than risk being without work.0

It's got to be better having a job, even if it did mean no redundancy money.
I always understood that the principle of redundancy money was to tide someone over until they had found a new job.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
