Has my money gone "down the drain"?

Hello all, it has been a while since I last had a dabble in the ebay game and to be fair I have had a pretty good rate of success but I find myself bewildered by what has happened and maybe my own fault to?
I will try to make it short
I purchased a dvd for my old man of a '60s play called Up The Junction as he has been banging on about it for ages so as a treat I looked it up and found it. It was on a buy it now and the seller was from Nottingham so I thought "great I will sort it out in person and wont have to mess around with posting etc". Now it was only £2.49 but the funy thing was when I asked the guy if I could pay in person i.e me go to his or him come here as has happened with local sellers before he said he was on holiday so could I post the money to him at Isle of Man! I did as he requested even though I said to my Mrs it sounds fishy and I don't think I will be hearing from him again  Well I have been away working this week and when I log in tonight to send him a pm asking why I havent received it yet he is no longer registered :rotfl:
I feel really !!!!ed off that even though I knew it was dodgy I still went along with it and even though it is only about £3.20ish after the stamp and envelope it is the principal that has annoyed me.
My question is this
WILL I EVER GET MY DVD OR MONEY BACK????? :rotfl:
Answers on the back of a postage stamp
And anyone know where I can a copy of Up the Junction from a real seller please.

'could I post the money to him at Isle of Man!'
Cash?
Then no, not a hope of getting it back!
By the way... even if seller is local, it's wise to check they permit collections before you bid
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Cash no but Postal order yes, I crossed the check with his name on to so only he can cash it in a bank. Funnily enough sometimes my work see's me in the Isle of Man and I have his address, if I am ever that way I will certainly call in and "see him" to find out how funny he thinks it is stitching people up in person and give him a chance to rectify the situation.0

Will have to act quick as I have told my Dad it is on it's way now :rotfl:0 -
Seems a bit strange your seller has 576 sales and 99.8% feedback. I think the reason for the Non registered User is because they were selling copies. They sold 10 of those films in that auction. It may be possible for you to get your money back with another polite Email, but its a long shot. They nay also be allowed back to trade after a short ban.
Says on the listing in small writing "COMES WITH NO ARTWORK AND IS DVD DISC ONLY BUT WILL BE SAFELY PACKAGED"0 -

Another copy and destined for a ban and possible loss of buyers money. Its the risk you will have to take on this one.0
