Why do you need to know how much work will cost ? i think if you can answer that truthfully , you`ll come to understand why you cant get any decent builder out to quote you....
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
  • If you pay them for their time you are much more likely to get a builder to have a look, but do agree a fee in advance. No-one likes to be used, and when your sale could easily fall through there is a greater chance than not that they will be wasting their time giving you a quote at this stage.

So where abouts are you based? Somebody may be able to recommend a builder.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

because the house sale is a strange one. the vendor will come down on the price if we find lots of work needs to be done. we know lots of work does need doing, but cannot put a figure on it.
