Quick question - joint account on DPA letter

Hi I'm new here so go easy 
I'm helping my parents go through the process of reclaiming their bank charges, however even at this early stage they are unsure if the letter for their joint account should have both their names and signatures on it or if it just needs the name and signature of one person?
pretty small thing I know but a search of the forums here doesn't answer it and neither does the big thread - at least if it does I'm missing it!
