Parking Charge Notice Help

I know there are thousands of posts on here about this, but I have confused myself reading them all!
I received a parking charge notice from AEJ Management in Gallions Reach, for parking in a disabled bay. I genuinely didn't even notice, I was in hire van, and stressed up to my eyes as I was mid house move and just popped in to pick up some food to feed the troops helping me!
Should I just pay it? I can't find the template I saw the other day to appeal it so if someone thinks it's worth appealing and knows which letter to send I would be very grateful. Is it worth appealing online?
I am concerned about it going over the 14 day period and being charged £90!
Thank you in advance.

Is this a windscreen PCN? (I assume so). Who is the PPC? (Or is this a council ticket? Probably not since you mention AEJ Management. Are they the PPC? It's not a name I'm familiar with)
If yes to windscreen and PPC then appeal it using the standard appeal template in the NEWBIES sticky thread. My signature tells you how to find it. The key is to get them liaising with you, otherwise they'll send a PCN to the hire company who'll likely pay it then charge you (plus an admin fee). Whilst the hire company T&Cs probably don't allow them to pay such speculative invoices and add their admin fee, dealing with this after-the-fact just makes things more difficult.
If this is a council ticket then head on over to Pepipoo - they are the experts on council tickets.

It was a windscreen PCN. The PPC are AEJ Management - that's the company logo at the top of the PCN.
Do I use this template even though it says "I refer to the above notice which I challenge, not as driver but as keeper of the car, on the following grounds" and it was a hire van?
By putting my name and address on the letter, they will then have the driver's details. Am I wanting them to know these details?
Thank you very much for your response and help.0 -

AEJ Management - a BPA operator.

If this is a hire vehicle you need to ensure that AEJ are distracted away from sending a Notice to Keeper to the hire company or the likelihood is the hire company will pay the PCN and charge it to your credit card AND add on an admin fee of ~£35. You don't need that to happen, so draw AEJ away by sending them the initial appeal from the NEWBIE FAQ sticky as it is written there just change 'car' to 'van'.
You are appealing as 'the keeper' (which you were on the day), different from the 'Registered Keeper' but still having the same protection under PoFA 2012.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You could actually call yourself the driver and keeper if you want, which will stop the PPC from being able to write to the Hire firm and will mean you can handle the appeal. In some ways it is 'safer' in your case to appeal as driver as it leaves no doubt that the PPC cannot use an excuse to write to the registered keeper of what they will suspect from the pics, is a hire van. The PPC will be itching to send the first letter in the hope the hire firm will pay then bill you (no questions asked) so get in first!
Found the template first appeal now in the Newbies sticky thread near the top of the forum? You should practise hopping around from thread to thread and back 'home' to page one, using the 'Forum Jump' (bottom right, click GO, hey presto you are staring at the top threads again including the Newbies sticky with the template first appeal).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
