If British manufacturers cannot match on price, they need to up their game
So you don't mind if children have been working 15 hr days in a hell hole somewhere to make something ? you will buy it because it's cheap ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Gosh, I never realised that. I thought those countries had strict employment laws. You live and learn. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If that goal is successful then you deprive the children of the means to earn the money they need to survive. These children will not suddenly decide that because the "hell holes" have shut down, they will go to school and lead a better life: they will starve.
Paying more to "Buy British" simply funds British manufacture (which may or may not be a good thing) but it does nothing to help the people that rely on the meagre income from piecework in a 3rd World sweatshop to survive.
If you want to help those people, buy the cheaper "sweatshop" goods and donate the difference to a charity that is working to improve the condition of the child labourers.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0
