Electoral roll and credit rating agencies

Hi,
I have joined Noddle's free service and also have recently moved to a new address. While I have updated the address in the records of banks/credit card/HMRC along with electoral roll. The local council has confirmed on phone that I am registered on new address. But they can't send the data until December to CRAs for their records, which means the CRA records show that I am not registered on electoral roll.
Noddle says that I need to obtain a letter/email from council mentioning that I am on electoral roll on my current address which I can do. But would the other CRAs accept this proof an update their records, even though I don't have their subscription?
Also, is it recommended to do it yourself, instead of council doing it (taking their sweet time)?

Unless you're going to be applying for credit in the near future I wouldn't bother at all. Why waste your time and money on the bureaucratic behemoth of the CRAs and all their associates?
Give this lot an inch and they'll take a mile. It won't be long before you're expected to update the CRAs just as you are the bank.0 -
Inclined to agree. The CRA's just love people like you who won't move without ensuring their private data is sold on to third parties.
Step back a little and treat them with the contempt they deserve.0
