    People are like little children - they don't have the ability to make sensible judgements about whether they can repay something, It is up to the government, and banks to protect them from their desire for shiny things.

    But when the evil payday loan lenders go bust, or no longer want to lend at the permitted interest/risk ratios, what then for the borrowers?

    They will resort to big phil (with the threat of leg breking) down the pub or go without eating or even heating.
