Parking Eye Help

Over the past few months I have been receiving letters from Parking Eye stating that I owe them £70 for parking at a local hospital. The letters showed a picture of my car stating one was arriving and the other leaving. As I have never heard of this company before I chose to ignore their claim as I believed it to be a scam. Today I received an official looking letter stating it was from the county court and Parking Eye was making a claim against me. This made me feel worried and threatened so I did a little research, hence arriving here. Here is some further information about my case.
- I don't believe any ticket was issued on the day in question & there is no evidence the car actually parked.
- I can't recall who was driving.
- I am aware that the car was at the location around the times stated.
- I am unaware if the car actually parked as when visiting the hospital the car is usually parked at my mother's who lives near to the hospital as it is safer there. People visiting the hospital are usually dropped off then collected later. This could account for the time difference between the pictures.
- I am aware that my 8 year old daughter visited the hospital on the day in question in a lot of pain & distress due to a fractured collarbone. This could mean the car did actually park & it could be a genuine oversight or incorrect usage of the payment system due the circumstances.
- Just prior to the date in question I changed the car so the registration was unfamiliar to all drivers. This could mean if the car was parked an incorrect registration may of been entered into the system. If this was the case, Parking Eye would not of lost any revenue.
- I believe the charge is exorbitant even if the car was parked and no payment was made as this amount surely far exceeds any costs incurred to Parking Eye or lost revenue.
- As I have just received the letter today I have yet to return to the car park to check the signage.
- I have replied to the court stating I will be defending this claim in full.

That was a big mistake seeing as we beat them EVERY time at appeal, easily. You only had to search Google for their name to find what to do.As I have never heard of this company before I chose to ignore their claim as I believed it to be a scam.
Good. So now read post #5 of the Newbies thread to learn about what happens next and how to word a defence argument (not from the driver but worded as the registered keeper like you will see in the examples linked there). Read every link but ONLY in post #5 of that sticky thread near the top of this forum.I have replied to the court stating I will be defending this claim in full.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Username makes me assume Sunderland or South Tyneside.
If south Tyneside and it's BEFORE April 7th 2014 then there is definitely no valid contract as that's the date it was signed.
If after this, or if it's Sunderland, follow earlier advice.0
