iPad software update and email

I've updated the software on my iPads and iPhone and now I have issues sending emails. They still arrive ok, but sending is a real problem.
I have three accounts including a BT one and icloud and they all suffer the same problem. This has only happened since upgrading to iOS8. Has anyone else had issues? Or otherwise any suggestions

There has been quite a few issues with iOS 8 but try upgrading to 8.0.2 - this has sorted out most of the problems.0

I've seen it about three times so far this week. Someone suggested going into the SMTP server settings and re-entering your password, but I've no experience of the result of this.Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you.
