Advice regarding debt settlement (Wonga)

Hi folks. Received a letter today from PRA UK (mackenzie hall!) regarding a debt with Wonga. In said letter they state that they are offering a single payment settlement or a 6 month installment saving plan. BUT they go on to say that if I take up this discounted offer then my credit file will only show as partially satisfied. Now I know they have to put this by law, but state later on in the letter that they will accept it as settlement of the outstanding balance. Therefore it sounds like the debt will be cleared in their eyes but not on my credit file. Surely if they accept the settlement payment then my credit file should show this?
Also should I wait to see if Wonga are writing this debt off as per the news? Many thanks

Personally I'd hold fire... It's only 8 days but you may need to speak to a debt charity and Wonga since they've obviously sold the debt prior to todays announcement.

Not great news for the DCA (unless Wonga need to buy it back LOL) but it's a bit of a special case aint it
