Hello, I'm so grateful to find this thread, and relieved I'm not the only one. I agree with all the comments about the pushy salesman Gareth Williams. He kept calling me to overcome my scepticism and finally persuaded me to sign up in July 2013, even though I'm very hard up and couldn't really afford their fee. They preyed on my financial hardship with promises of what people were getting. Their website looked legitimate and I didn't find any bad press. There were loads of forms to sign, and then everything went quiet. Their manager David King was extremely evasive and my calls and emails were ignored. Unlike other members of this forum, I never received a letter about another company, and the whole thing was left hanging.
Unfortunately other matters took priority and I didn't pursue them further. It wasn't until another company phoned making similar offers that I was reminded to chase them ...and of course their website is broken and their phone numbers go to answer machines.
I have just been in touch with my credit card company to start the ball rolling for a Section 75 claim and I'm grateful for the tips here. Luckily I also have RedReclaims email promising a refund if their claims were unsuccessful.
But I have a big question in my mind. Suppose they successfully got some money back from one of my old credit card companies. How do I know? There didn't seem to be anything happening the last time I was able to log into my account in the autumn 2014, but for all I know they've pocketed money from a successful claim and not passed it on.
Does anyone else here wonder about that?0 -

Unlikely. Pretty much all the top lenders will pay any redress directly to you and leave you and them to sort out what is owed between the two parties.0 -
Hi – I'm so pleased to have found your thread!
I was scammed out of £495 by a PPI reclaim company called Litchfield Price last Jan, 2016 and haven't received a penny back. I quickly realised soonafter the 14 day cool-off period that they were indeed scammers and 9 months down the line it seems they have 'dissolved'. They have traded under various other names – Red Reclaims being one of them. I cannot get hold of them and they now have a recorded VM to say their staff are undergoing staff training.
I paid back in Janaury on my Direct Debit card. It appears I would have had a chance to claim the money back from my bank if I had used a Credit Card (under Section 75). I am really worried about the time lapse and the fact that the company probably doesn't actually exist anymore! I am very stressed abut this and even more embarrassed I fell for it.
Can anyone give me any help/advice/pointers please on anything I can do about this?

Red Reclaims was a trading style of Redaurum Limited. Litchfield Price is a trading style of JAS Financial Advisory Services Limited.
JAS has the same registered office that Redaurum had before its demise but JAS still exists.
Get the complaint to the Legal Ombudsman next week.0 -

JAS/Litchfield Price were featured on the BBC Wales X-Ray consumer programme recently.
It's the first item on the show http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07xxmx8/xray-series-16-episode-20
