:mad: can anyone help i am trying to claim back £544 from a credit card purchase which was not as advertised i thought you had 90 days if the ppurchase was not as stated they say cause i used chip and pin it cant be refunded thanks:mad: what it is i booked a log cabin from what was advertised as 5* we got there and it was appalling they would not refund we had to go get a cottage to continue our holiday we went to tourist info in corn wall and the sight had lost the 5* before we booked so i thought m/s would settle it and refund us but they say no cause it was chip and pin but told me to go to trading standards :mad:

Depending on what youve bought and why your taking it back you can get a refund in cash thats not a problem

and anyway chip and pin in manditory now, so whoever told you that is either stupid or trying to mug you off, all you do is refund it via the chip and pin method

You should ring M&S and ask to speak to their legal section.
Here is the UK Chester call centre number 01244 898601 they are very helpful unlike the Mumbai call centre who can't even get security or you name right.
Discuss it with them and it may be that you have to take it up with Trading Standards but there is certainly an element of deception/fraud in the way they advertised and then told you it was 5* and took your money leaving you with the belief that you had purchased a 5* accomodation.
