It was a call back from an email I sent them. The lady explained that they would refund my last payment amount (she knew the amount) and that she just needed to confirm the last 4 digits of my card and account details. Said it would take 3 business days.

Anyone challenged any of the other PDL companies following this move from Wonga? And if so, what outcome did you get?

Just had my reminder that my next payment is due tomorrow, I have no intention of paying as I've received the email informing me of a full write off and not to pay but it is annoying that they are taking so long to update accounts.

HI all


Im one of the lucky ones to have had my debt written off though I do have a couple of questions.


I entered into a DM programme and the repayments were made monthly to Wonga (or Quickbridge Finance T/A Wonga to be precise) so will I be entitled to get any of the extra interest back from Wonga?
Also does anyone know how long it will take to get the defaults off my credit report?

Hi all, I used Wonga and paid them off on time about 4 times 2 years ago. I then took out a final loan with them which pushed me over the edge and I couldn't repay it. I buried my head in the sand and forgot about it.

I did actually learn some financial responsibility and got myself in check and paid off everything else I owed. I was getting calls from PRA UK (a DCA) trying to contact me on behalf of wonga. I then saw this announcement and thinking it will apply to me, sat back and waited for my letter/email on the 10th. (I received emails from the before with all the apologies etc they were sending out)

I've still not received anything and I'm still getting calls from PRA UK. I was under the impression that I fell into the criteria of over 30 days in arrears and that "Wonga adds that it will be handling cases even if a customer's debt has been sold on to a third party ".

What should I do next?

I have money problems, I'm a serial lender from wonga. Constantly reborrowing to pay for the previous loan(yes I know, I have no one else to blame)

My question is where do I stand? I have a loan repayment due tomorrow but I'm not in arrears that's just my original promise date.
Should I just not pay it and eventually it will be written off?
Just seems unfair that they can see I'm a serial lender and obviously have money issues but because I'm responsible and always find a way of paying it back that I have to pay in full, where as people who don't repay get their whole debt written off!!

Any suggestions????
