Receipt but no guarantee doc

I wonder if anyone can help me out with this query, as I can't find the answer online.
I bought a Babyliss hair styler from Boots in Nov 2012, which has just stopped working. The product comes with a 3-year gurantee, but whilst I have the receipt from Boots still to prove I bought it (online) I can't find that bit of paper saying 'Guarantee' that you normally get with electrical products - do you think that matters, as I do have proof of purchase? Also, should I still take it back to Boots or are they going to tell me to go direct to Babyliss as it's over a year and it's Babyliss not Boots offering the 3-year guarantee?
Thanks in advance x

Ring boots head office.0

I should have pre-empted someone saying that - we only have free weekend and evening calls, and guess what/ It's not freefone and it's not open after 7pm. Obviously, I will ring them if I am completely stuck, but would rather be able to go into my local Boots (have to pay parking though) confident that I am covered.0

What documentation do you have that refers to the 3 year guarantee?0

Just found it online when I searched for the product code - as part of the list of product features it says '3 year guarantee' so have printed that off0

Have you looked at Saynoto0870 for a generic number.
To be honest, I have had receipts and the assistants often say or it is on the receipt that the receipt is your guarantee document so I wouldn't worry about just walking into a shop with it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Agreed and boots are pretty good.0

Thanks for all your help everyone! Somewhat embarrasingly (would do red faced icon here if I knew how) I realised that the hair styler wasn't fully plugged in, hence the sporadic nature of the fault. Whoops!
In the meantime I had contacted Babyliss who very speedily sent me out a pre-paid returns form, so good to know in case it does pack up in next year or so!0 -
There you go, it's in the Smilies list. 0
