USA West Coast Trip - Flights to San Fran

Hi,
Planning a road trip along the west coast of america, intending to fly into San Fran and starting my journey there. Ideally I would like to fly from Dublin any time in July/Start of August.
Anyone any ideas on the best time to book flights? I have been told Aer Lingus should hold a sale after Christmas, does anyone know if the flights would go down?
Looking to get flights <=£600 if possible.
Thanks for your help

July and August is peak period and often sales will not include these periods as they can easily sell them at higher fares. You may get a better price if you travel before the school holidays but if you can find a fare for £600 grab it0

Cheapest im seeing at the minute is £770 or so direct.0 -

Cheapest im seeing at the minute is £770 or so direct. If you are restricted to school holidays then that price may be as good as it gets...doesn't even look as if indirect is much cheaper
Agreed, I've never managed to find sub £800 direct/non-stop flights during school holsEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
SF is the only airport on the west coast with non stop flights from Dublin, Aer Lingus did incredibly well with them this year and are increasing the frequency next year. This is not a sign to me that they will need to discount any of the flights at the start of the school holidays so if you can get sub £800 flights, I would take them. This summer at peak periods flights were well over £10000

We paid £800 for Heathrow to San Fran flying the 30th August this year - the cheapest they had been was £750.
I can't see that you're going to get flights for £600 - even if you compromise and fly from London, where you'll have a bigger choice of carriers.0
