Dla renewal probs

DLA, HRMand HRC, runs out end of Jan and renewal forms come through, though they're the same as a new claim. Want it sorted sap so lifts the scariness of the unknown, and to make it worse moving in 3 weeks and NOONE there knows me. So when do I tell DWP about this and if I send it now, with my current go etc, will it hear before I go? Only moving because my folks are and I can't live alone. Please keep to the question, not exploring my other options etc etc.

It is not impossible you will hear if you submit the paperwork promptly.
Is it likely - nobody can really give you an answer - many have been waiting considerably more than 3 weeks for DLA.
If you are moving to an area where renewals would be PIP - I am not sure if a move would trigger PIP, not DLA at renewal.
Clearly - if you have a supportive GP - then getting any information from them to help with a claim - versus trying to do the same in a new area with a fresh GP...0 -
You could pay for mail redirect to the new address? That way you wont risk triggering PIP as per RB above.0

As far as I'm aware, benefit letters can't be redirected so that wouldn't work. Better to be upfront with the DSS than not in my opinion. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Am getting mail redirected but don't I have to tell my new address, both for DLA and ESA? Read somewhere on here that you have to tell them the day you move as they won't take details in advance. But...should I wait until I get DLA decision?0

Never wait to tell them any new address details!! Tell them as soon as you move. They stop your benefits it's not worth it. If it means you have to reclaim for PIP then so be it. Honesty is the best policy!maddoglady wrote: »Am getting mail redirected but don't I have to tell my new address, both for DLA and ESA? So it has to be the exact day I move, not before. Kind of busy trekking 300+ miles that day!0

No, you can write or phone them in the week before, saying 'I am moving on x/x/x'maddoglady wrote: »So it has to be the exact day I move, not before. Kind of busy trekking 300+ miles that day!0 -
You can't do it before you move but you have to tell them as soon as possible after. Naturally you can't tell them on the day you move lol You also can't wait weeks before telling them either.maddoglady wrote: »So it has to be the exact day I move, not before.
